BellView of the Cincinnati Skyline | 32” x 38” acrylic on canvas
Some views of Cincinnati stop you for a second.
This painting captures the skyline from Bellevue, Kentucky, looking across the river as the city lights begin to glow. From this vantage point, Cincinnati feels both grand and personal. The buildings rise in the distance, the river catches every reflection, and the hills of Mount Adams stretch across the scene with the church sitting proudly above it all.
That is what I love about this view. It is not just a skyline. It is layers of the city: the river, the lights, the hillside, the architecture, and the history all stacked together in one dramatic moment.
Created with Colin Daugherty, this piece became a true collaboration of movement, color, texture, and perspective. The reflections became a huge part of the painting, with golds, blues, whites, and oranges rippling across the water and giving the piece its energy.
BellView of Cincinnati Skyline celebrates that feeling of seeing Cincinnati from across the river, where the whole city opens up in front of you.
It is a painting about place, perspective, and the beauty of a city that keeps finding new ways to shine.
