Whether you’re considering commissioning an original painting or simply exploring my artwork, I hope these answers help. If you don’t see your question here, I’d love to hear from you.
-
Every painting begins with a conversation. Share your idea, reference photos, preferred size, timeline, and budget, and we’ll work together to create a painting that tells your story.
-
I create original acrylic paintings inspired by city skylines, architecture, bridges, landscapes, horse racing, wildlife, flowers, homes, family portraits, pets, and meaningful places.
-
Yes. Most commissions begin with photographs. My goal is to create an original painting that captures the feeling and story behind the image, not simply reproduce a photograph.
-
Absolutely. Many commissions combine several photographs into a single composition that celebrates a family, place, memory, or special moment.
-
Yes. For many local and regional commissions, I can photograph your home, business, property, or favorite view to create custom reference images. Photography is quoted separately or added to the overall commission investment, depending on the project.
-
The right size depends on your space, subject, and the statement you’d like the artwork to make. I’ll recommend a size based on your space, subject, and budget to create the greatest visual impact.
Some of the most requested sizes include:
18” x 24” – Great for smaller spaces, gifts, portraits, and meaningful moments.
24” x 36” – One of my most requested sizes. Ideal for cityscapes, landscapes, and portraits.
30” x 40” – A client favorite that creates strong visual impact without overwhelming a room.
36” x 48” – Perfect for creating a bold focal point in larger living spaces, offices, and entryways.
24” x 24” and 36” x 36” – Popular square formats for contemporary spaces.
48” x 48” – A striking statement piece with exceptional presence.
48” x 60” – Ideal when you want artwork to become the centerpiece of a room or commercial space.
Custom canvas sizes are also available for large-scale residential and commercial commissions.

A 50% deposit reserves your commission and begins the painting process. The remaining balance is due upon completion before pickup or shipping.
-
Once we’ve aligned on the vision and paint hits canvas, the commission is nonrefundable. The deposit secures dedicated time on my schedule and begins original work created specifically for you. If you’re feeling hesitant about commissioning a painting, I’d encourage you to wait and reach out when you’re ready to move forward.

We work together upfront to align on the vision before painting starts. Minor adjustments may be possible during the process, but every painting remains an original artistic interpretation.
