This 15″ x 30″ Roebling Bridge painting is one that still hangs in our home.

It is full of texture, movement, color, and all the little imperfections that make an original painting feel alive. The bridge rises tall and strong, but the brushwork keeps it loose, energetic, and human. I love the way the blues, golds, whites, and dark shadows play off each other, giving the piece a presence that changes depending on the light.

The Roebling Bridge has always been one of my favorite subjects to paint. It carries so much history, architecture, Cincinnati pride, and personal connection. Every time I paint it, I find something new in the lines, towers, cables, reflections, and color.

We love this painting, which is why it has stayed with us. But that is also part of the fun of being an artist. When a piece like this finds a new home, it often inspires me to pick up the brush and create another one.
